A dear friend emailed this picture to me last week with the message "Be inspired my friend. God's gifts are within us even when we feel 'gray'". This was such a timely message for me. Sometimes I feel that I have so much inside of me that wants to be poured out, but time and circumstances don't seem to allow for it. I want to see something tangible happening now so I often get in a hurry or overwhelmed and then miss the joy of the journey. When I look at this bird I see peace and contentment. Not worrying about what she will do tomorrow or even the next minute. Can I learn to live so content with my circumstances no matter what they are. I am convinced it is the only way to achieve any lasting peace. Since I tend to go to the extreme of either too much too fast or total inactivity due to being overwhelmed I am seeking that serene middle ground. I believe it is the place where Jesus will meet with me and walk with me, explaining his plan so I don't have to worry about it. What a place. Lord help me get there.

That's a beautiful photo. It sheds light on a somewhat gray month!
I'm going to focus on enjoying the journey, too. That's a wonderful idea.
That's a pretty picture. Yes. Jesus is near to us, and he authors peace and contentment in us.
Sending you love.
Miss you!
I'll tell you a secret. Every once in awhile, like once a week, I pop in here to see this bird and imagine it's chirping. And now this morning, finally, I can hear birds chirping outside my window. It's spring. Wheeeeeee!
Dear Friend!
Jesus is using you in a big way. This is a reminder that what we do has lasting impact, long after we have "forgotten" or moved on. God touched me today when I read your message. I appreciate the gift of God in you. Never be discouraged from fulfilling your purpose by ANYone's apparent lack of enthusiasm.
We sometimes want instantaneous results, but alot of times God puts us in the crock pot of life and not the microwave. We have to wait...and wait...and wait. We feel like we've been cooked PLENTY long, but God says, "Wait." And when the time is right and we've been tenderized and seasoned by His Spirit and His Word - look out! Good things are going to overflow! Our wonderful godly aroma will draw MANY to the table that wouldn't have come if we'd been a microwave wonder!
Thank you for being who you are. You are a blessing.
Any idea what this bird is called?
I've frozen my blog and put it on hold for a while. Have started a new one on word press if you're interested. Really hope all's well with you...
Blessings
